Introduction

Innovate for California is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to supporting educators, students, and parents through innovative educational services and technology. We prioritize privacy and responsible data use, ensuring all student data is handled with the utmost care and in compliance with relevant laws, including FERPA, COPPA, and GDPR.

Data Collection: School Partnerships

We do not collect names, addresses, or state student identification numbers directly from students, parents, or schools. All data is gathered through agreed Student Data Privacy Agreements, which can be read here:

Data Collection: I4C Members

We collect names, birth dates, and educational records directly from students, parents, and schools via user input and automated processes to enhance the experience. By using our products—Learning Blocks Non‑Enterprise data plug‑ins, Learning Blocks Enterprise: Community Edition, and Learning Blocks: Enterprise Edition—members agree to abide by:

  • Innovate for California’s Bylaws
  • Innovate for California’s Articles of Incorporation
  • Innovate for California Members Agreement

Purpose of Data Collection

All collected data is used solely for educational purposes, such as:
